Have you heard about the National Maple Syrup Festival in Medora, Indiana?
The National Maple Syrup Festival is an annual event created to celebrate maple-sugaring season and the coming of spring. Hosted each year by Burton’s Maplewood Farm in Medora, Indiana, the festival includes demonstrations, entertainment, food, and maple syrup from every maple-syrup producing state in the country.
This is a great family event with a petting zoo, horse drawn wagon rides, face painting, pioneer games, and more! There’s also lots of delicious food, and great historical activity demonstrations from blacksmiths, candle-making, needle art, and wood carving. Of course, you’ll get to learn all about maple syrup and how it’s made too!
The National Maple Syrup Festival is happening at Burton’s Maplewood Farm during the first two weekends of March. March 2nd-3rd and March 9th-10th, 2013. Continue reading »
I cant believe it’s been 3 years since I started my blog. I originally started off on Blogger, and my blogs name at that time was Angel Foods Kitchen. I made the switch to WordPress and a self hosted site in April of 2012, and changed the name to Angels Homestead, as I thought it suited what my blog had evolved into better. While I did lose a lot of readers in that switch and miss them, I’m slowly building my readership back up and have never looked back or regretted it. I love how much easier and fun it is to work with my blog now.

After having so much fun at the circus a couple of weeks ago, I am super excited at the opportunity in January to attend Disney on Ice Presents Worlds of Fantasy! It’s time to sprinkle pixie dust onto Indianapolis, IN with some Disney magic. This fabulous show will feature Disney favorites including the gang from Toy Story, Cars, The Little Mermaid, and even Tinkerbell and her friends from Pixie Hollow. This show is a fun filled family event that can’t be missed. It’s a great way to get the Disney experience with your favorite Disney characters. This exciting ice show will be at Banker’s Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis January 23-27, 2013.
