The internet has been filled with delicious apple recipes lately. What with Fall time fast approaching, who can blame them. Apples are usually associated with sweet desserts, but the recipes I’ve seen lately run the gamut from appetizers to main courses. Just check out my Apple Recipe Round-Up to see what I mean.
One of my favorite breakfasts is a smoothie, it’s a filling and healthy meal when you use Greek yogurt. As I was getting ready to make one a few days ago, I was inspired by all of the apple recipes I’ve been seeing and decided to make an apple pie smoothie. It was super easy to throw together, and only takes a handful of ingredients to create a unique and tasty breakfast.
I added a frozen banana to help thicken it up, and make it sweeter as well. If you don’t care for banana leave it out, it’s still delicious but wont be as sweet and thick as my version.
For best results a high-speed blender is recommended.
Place all the ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth.
If smoothie is to thick to blend properly, add a little more milk.
Serve immediately.

Oh yum! This looks like a real winner, April. I’ll be trying this one very soon.
p.s. love the addition of the maple syrup too!!!
Thanks Renee
My only advice is to use a high-powered blender to make sure the apple is chopped up really well.
