Banana Cream Pie Oatmeal

I don’t eat nearly enough of this healthy grain, so I’m always on the lookout for yummy versions that will entice me to WANT to eat it instead of the same old eggs or cereal. I’m not a morning person, so it’s easy to fall into a rut.

This recipe is easy to. If it wasn’t I would quickly abandon it as a breakfast option. Plus, any time a breakfast item taste like a dessert, I’m an instant fan. This oatmeal is creamy and delicious and has quickly became a favorite.

Banana Cream Pie Oatmeal 2

Banana Cream Pie Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • 3 tablespoons sweetend condensed milk
  • couple dashes cinnamon

Directions

  • Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add oats and reduce heat to medium. Allow oats to cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat, cover and let set for a few minutes.
  • Place the mashed banana into a bowl, along with the cinnamon and condensed milk. Stir to blend and serve.
