Cinnamon Sugar

Posted in DIY Foods

Here is another great homemade spice blend for you, Cinnamon Sugar. This is a super simple recipe that I love making up in batches to have on hand whenever the urge hits me. It’s the perfect combination of sweet with a definite, but not overbearing cinnamon taste. Not only does it taste good, but it’s frugal too. The last time I was at the store, I checked the price of a cinnamon sugar blend, and they wanted $2.70 for a tiny little bottle of the stuff! Totally unnecessary when you can make a large batch for way cheaper.

Cinnamon Sugar

Cinnamon Sugar
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup cinnamon

Place ingredients into a bowl and stir until thoroughly blended.

Use to taste on buttered toast or oatmeal, or anywhere you would like the flavor of cinnamon sugar. Maybe even as a topping for sugar cookies!

Store in an air tight container.

  1. I used white sugar Ingrid, you can certainly use brown sugar if you’d like though! Just exchange brown for white in the recipe.
