Cinnamon Swirl Bread
Adapted From: Heavenly Homemakers
Start with your basic bread dough recipe.
Instead of shaping the dough immediately into a loaf, roll it out like this.
Spread a generous amount of softened butter all over the rolled out dough. I used about 3/4 of a stick of butter.
Sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon/sugar. I used 4 Tbs of a cinnamon/sugar mixture I keep in the refrigerator. The recipe is below.
Roll it up.
Poke the ends under to make a loaf shape.
Place in a buttered bread pan, cover with a kitchen towel and let the loaf rise for about 30 minutes, then bake as directed from your bread dough recipe.
Slice and enjoy.
Sprinkle on some raisins if you like Cinnamon Raisin Bread.
Cinnamon and Sugar Mixture
1/4 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl, using a fork or small whisk to thoroughly blend the two together. Store in an air-tight container or old spice jar.
