Diamond Candles Review and Giveaway

Have you heard about Diamond Candles? They’re a candle company located in Durham, North Carolina, that has a great variety of candle scents to choose from. The candles are 100% soy and eco-friendly. What really sets them apart though, is that they include a little gift inside of the candle, a ring, which is how they came up with the name Diamond Candles. You have the opportunity of discovering a ring that is valued between $10 to $5,000 in every candle! Almost like Cracker Jacks for adults! Of course I was a little skeptical at first. Would a company really give away a $5,000 diamond ring in a $25 candle? The answer is yes! Granted, most folks are going to score the $10 ring, but can you imagine getting a real diamond ring!? If you search diamond candles on Google you’ll find customers who have been lucky enough to find the real deal.

Diamond Candle in Cuddle scent

Diamond Candles sent me a candle of my choice to review, and I chose the Cuddle scent. It reminded us of a warm baby-powder smell. Perfect for us, because my daughter and I love the scents of baby powder and lotion. While the price seemed a little steep to me at first, once I got a look at it I was pleasantly surprised. The candle weighs in at 21 ounces, and comes in a seven inch tall, thick glass jar, which could easily double as a drinking glass, storage since it comes with a lid, or used in a craft project once the wax is all gone. The candle is made of 100% soy wax which burns cleaner and much longer than typical paraffin wax candles. So your actually getting a good deal. It took my candle a little over 6 hours to burn down to the ring, which is glued to the side of the glass holder the candle comes in, inside a small plastic baggie and wrapped in gold foil to protect it from the wax.

Unfortunately we didn’t find a real diamond ring, but it still turned out to be really pretty! My son said it looked like a peridot, which is his birth stone, so I may get it appraised to see if it is worth anything. While the size is a little small for my daughter or I, It will make a very nice gift for one of my friends or family members who wears that size.

Likes: We LOVED the scent of the candle. It filled my whole living room with it’s scent, without being overpowering. It came in a good quality jar, and the candle-ring combo is a fun gift idea.

Dislikes: I think it would be nice if you could specify what ring size you want when you ordered the candle. The company doesn’t give you that option. My daughter and I both wear a size 7, and the ring is a 6, so neither one of us can wear it. It was a let down after all that waiting.

All in all we really liked the candle. The scent is fantastic, and we still have about half of the candle left, even after burning it for several hours a day for almost a month.

  2. I have the cupcake and black raspberry vanilla already - and the newest blue lagoon candle on its way, but I really want to try the cotton candy! My rings have all been too big for my ring finger - so I’ve worn them on my index :P
