Has the Jolly Green Giant got a surprise for you, he’s now in the snack aisle. I’ve used Green Giant Frozen Vegetables for years, and now I can add chips to that list. Introducing the new Green Giant Veggie Snack Chips.
I try to feed my family healthy food most of the time, but I’ve accepted the fact that they love to have a “unhealthy” snack once in awhile. Especially when we go out to eat at Subway or something, they must have chips on the side. While Green Giants version is still a chip and not a health food, they are a much healthier choice then your regular chips when a snack craving strikes.
I received two flavors: Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips in Garden Ranch, and Multigrain Barbeque Sweet Potato Chips to review. As soon as I opened the box they came in everyone wanted to try them, so we choose the Multigrain Barbecue Sweet Potato Chips to sample first. I had family members visiting that day, so with a total of 8 people munching on them, the bag disappeared quickly, I never even got a picture of them because they disappeared so fast! Who knew that sweet potatoes flavored with barbecue would taste so good?! The verdict, 6 out of 8 liked them. (My husband doesn’t like sweet potatoes at all, so I knew he wouldn’t care for them). As for the rest of us, we thought they were light and crispy, with a delicious barbecued sweet potato flavor. The perfect chip to enjoy with a sandwich. They have 14 grams of whole grain, with 120 calories and 5 grams of fat per serving. Loads better then regular chips.
The Veggie Tortilla Chips in Garden Ranch flavor were a bit more substantial, and would make a great stand alone snack. 5 people tried them, and everyone gave them high marks. My family liked the fact that they had the flavor of a cool ranch chip, but with a bold and hearty undertone to them. I loved the fact that they are made with real dried vegetables like bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, and tomato. I served them with my homemade Restaurant Style Salsa, but there’s no need for it really, because there’s plenty of ranch flavor in the chips. I added salsa though as it’s a tasty way to get in extra vegetables. I cant help it, it’s the mom in me. : ) Out of the 2 chip flavors, these were our favorite. They have 18 grams of whole grain, with 130 calories and 6 grams of fat per serving.
If you’re searching for something healthier than regular potato chips to serve as a snack to your family, then I highly recommend you try these.
Don’t forget to print out your coupon and let me know if you try them. I’d love to hear about which one is your favorite.

Oh my comment is funny. Not how many bands they have. . How many carbs they have. . Lol!

Not sure about the carbs, we finished the chips off long ago, and I never thought to look at the carb count. Hope you like them.
