I’m a big fan of Dawn dish soap, it is amazing at cleaning dirty, greasy dishes, but can be used for lots more things as well. My husband is always in the garage, working on either our, or our friends and neighbors mechanical equipment, such as lawn mowers, weed eaters, cars, etc. This equals one very dirty hubby by the time he’s through. So can you guess what he uses to wash his hands to get all that greasy dirt off? Yep, Dawn dish soap. It really cuts through all the gunk and gets his hands clean.
My daughter and I really enjoy using foaming hand soap. One day I ran out and didn’t feel like running into town just for a bottle of hand soap, when the idea hit me. Instead of buying those expensive refill bottles of foaming soap, which are mainly WATER, why not make my own with Dawn? I mean, it gets my husbands hands super clean, so why couldn’t we use it too? It’s super easy to make and only has two ingredients, A small amount of Dawn and water. That’s it!
I’ve been making our hand soap this way for almost two years now and have never looked back. It’s frugal, better for the environment, and I love making things with a product that has so many multiple purposes.
Pour enough dish soap into the bottom of your foaming soap dispenser to fill it 1/4 full. This will make the finished product thick and creamy. If you prefer your hand soap more foamy, only add half of that amount.
Add warm water to the bottle until it is about 3/4 full.
Place the cap back on and mix by turning the bottle upside down, back and forth gently a few times to blend the two together. Don't get carried away, or it will become to sudsy.
Use as needed for hand washing.

Makes sense to me! I usually use either Ivory or Dawn and currently have Dawn!
Great, let me know what you think of it Ingrid.
It sure does Debra! Let me know what you think of it.
