This syrup is super simple and easy to make, and only uses 4 ingredients. That’s loads better then what you’ll find in the ingredients on the back of a syrup bottle. Even though real maple syrup is better for you, it just isn’t feasible to buy with my food budget. Especially with the way my gang devours the stuff. So for a frugal and inexpensive alternative, this homemade syrup cant be beat.

Homemade Syrup

  6. Thank you for the information on freezing the pancake muffins. I am planning on having them for a bunch of people who will be staying at our house the night before a 10k race. We have to get up very early the morning of the race and I didn't want to cook anything. With the muffins and hard boiled eggs I should be set.

I also wrote down the recipe for the homemade syrup. Right now I have maple syrup I was able to either buy cheaply or it was given to me. But that won't last forever.
