Pizza and movie night is our favorite night of the week at our house. We rent a movie we’ve been wanting to see then serve up pizza, popcorn and candy, and do it up just like at a movie theater. So when I got the opportunity to become a reviewer for Mommy Bear Media, I was super excited.

About Mommy Bear Media:

Mommy Bear Media is a small family oriented company that brings you high quality, good clean movies. All of their movies are top-rated, have a good message and are worth watching with your family.

  • No R, NC-17, TV-MA ratings
  • Selective PG-13 and TV-14 ratings
  • Not too much sex, violence, etc.

Their site is easy to search, and can be done by Rating, Top Picks, or Age. Their prices are really good too. Plus, the thing that really puts them over the top is that they have FREE SHIPPING! They have fast service too. I ordered my movie and within 3 days it was sitting in my mailbox. What’s not to love?!

My Review:

For my first movie I chose one I had been wanting to see for quite awhile, “What If…” It’s about a man who gets a chance to see what his life would have been like if he had not made the choices he did. It has a religious viewpoint, but not in a heavy handed way. It’s message is a positive one about the importance of family, which all of us can agree with.

This movie is similar to another one that is called The Family Man. What If… is a lot more family friendly though, with no swearing, violence or sex. Such a refreshing change from most of the movies that are out there now.

Kevin Sorbo (Ben) and Kristy Swanson (Wendy) are a couple that are good church going Christians that are about to part ways, not knowing at the time that with Ben questioning his faith and taking some time to “find” himself, he will leave Wendy high and dry and never return. Instead he makes a new life in the world of finance in the big city .

Someone has bigger plans for him though, and 15 years later an Angel - Mike (Ratzenberger) is dispatched to show him the light . Ben is thrown head first back into his life that he “could” have had with Wendy, as a family with 2 children, just as if he had never left. But his big city mentality and greed soon cause tension in the marriage, but Wendy being a wonderful wife and mother stands by her man as he “see’s the light” so to speak.

I don’t want to spoil the movie by giving away to much of the plot, but it’s definitely a must see, feel good movie.
