Do you like those packets of peaches and cream oatmeal? Well just think how much you’ll love this yummy dish when you make it with real peaches and real cream! I eat oatmeal several times a week, so I’m always experimenting with new flavors. Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Pie are two of my favorites, but both of those require baking. This one cooks on top of the stove, and is super easy to make. This oatmeal will turn a boring breakfast into something exciting!

This would taste great with fresh strawberries too.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup water
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt or half and half

Directions

  • Place the oats, water and salt in a small pot over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Once the oats are just starting to simmer, add the cinnamon, vanilla and honey. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the yogurt and 3/4 of the peaches.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl and top with the rest of the peaches and a drizzle of honey. Serve immediately.
