This is the best Philly’s I have ever tasted. Tender, flavorful strips of steak, smothered in onions, peppers and cheese, all wrapped in a soft homemade bun. This is a hearty sandwich that will leave you full and satisfied.

Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches

1-1/2 pounds thinly sliced sirloin steak (I used my kitchen shears to do this)
1 medium onion, cut in half lengthwise and then thinly sliced
1 medium bell pepper, thinly sliced (my addition)
sea salt and pepper to taste
1 Tbs. A-1 steak sauce (my addition)
provolone cheese slices
olive oil
mini french bread loafs

Over medium heat, cook your onions, peppers and salt to taste, along with 2 tbs. oil till onions are translucent, stirring occasionally. Remove from pan and add the steak, salt and pepper to taste and steak sauce. Add 1 tbs. more of oil if necessary. Return to pan and cook until steak is cooked through, about 10 to 15 minutes. Slice open a small french bread loaf and layer with some of the cooked steak, onions and peppers and 2 slices of cheese. Serve and enjoy.
