Salisbury Steak and Gravy

Why buy those frozen salisbury steak dinners that taste nothing like actual beef, when you can make your own from fresh ingredients? My family loves this meal, and it’s easy to put together, so I usually make it at least once a month.

Salisbury Steak and Gravy

Salisbury Steak and Gravy

1 pound ground beef or turkey
1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs
1 1/2 teaspoons dried, minced onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon milk
Beef Gravy

Place ground beef, bread crumbs, minced onion, salt, pepper and milk into a large bowl and mix just until well combined. Add a bit more milk if mixture seems to dry.
Using your hands, gently shape into 3 or 4 patties. Fry in a pan over medium heat until well done.
Place patties on plates and pour the desired amount of beef gravy over them.
Serve with mashed potatoes and your choice of vegetable.
