I have taken my love of Nutella to a new high, I added it to a smoothie! I wasn’t feeling well one day, and after a restless night, I finally fell asleep around 9:00 in the morning. I woke up later that afternoon feeling a bit better and starving! After looking in the refrigerator for something quick to make, I spied the Greek yogurt I always keep on hand and decided to make a smoothie. I grabbed some strawberries from the freezer and would have left it at that, but then I noticed the Nutella sitting on the counter, calling my name. That’s when the bells went off… a Strawberry Nutella Smoothie!
Strawberries and chocolate are a classic combination so why not Nutella, which is chocolate with nuts? I was right, it turned out fantastic, smooth and creamy, with the flavors of strawberry and Nutella combining perfectly. I used Greek yogurt to give the smoothie a kick of protein, and frozen strawberries because that’s what I had on hand. Now that strawberries are in season though, feel free to use fresh and add some ice to make the smoothie colder and thicker.
Coming up with your own flavors of smoothie combos is super easy. Check out my Smoothie Basics 101 for more information.
Place all of the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Add a bit more milk if smoothie is to thick.
Serve in a glass with a fun straw and enjoy!
