As some of my readers know, I’ve been trying lately to post on a more regular basis. Well, that was sidelined this week when I was hit with a major Fibro attack. I’ve been pretty sick for the last three days, two of them lying in bed, to sick and in pain to move. This evening I’m feeling just a tad bit better, so I wanted to get back to blogging and share with you a recipe for some of the best tasting bread sticks you would ever want to eat. My family loves pizza, so much so that we actually have a weekly pizza and movie night. We rent a couple of movies we want to see, and enjoy them while munching on homemade pizza. What goes best with pizza? Why bread sticks of course! I never have had much luck with shaping bread sticks though, they always wind up way to big on the ends and misshapen in their shape. While it didn’t affect the taste any, it always bothered me.

Oven Roasted Italian Cauliflower

Roasting any vegetable creates a caramelization that brings a unique depth of flavor to it. Even more so for the mild tasting cauliflower. Usually this vegetable is pretty bland, but after being tossed with olive oil, garlic, Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, it becomes something extraordinary This is some tasty cauliflower folks. Bonus points because while this dish is baking your house will be filled with the amazing aroma of garlic.

Homemade Croutons and Bread Crumbs

It’s so simple and easy to make your own bread crumbs and croutons, that it’s ridiculous to pay those expensive prices for the store bought kind. I love making my own diy food products whenever possible. I mean, have you really looked at the ingredient list on those prepackaged foods that line the store shelves? It’s scary, and if I can make something myself then I do it. Not only is it more frugal, but healthier too.
